Sacred Samhain: Ceremony and Ritual w/Kristen

Saturday October 29th, 5:30 - 7pm.  $20

Have you ever wondered where Halloween comes from?  Why do we dress up and go trick or treating?  Let’s go back to the roots of this amazing holiday and celebrate Samhain.  We’ll learn about the Wheel of the Year, how Jack o’ Lanterns originated, and why it’s so important to keep Samhain in your craft.

**There will be an altar for ancestors and loved ones who have passed on.  Feel free to bring a picture of friends, family, people, animals, or anything you have lost that you'd like to honor.**

Samhain is a very old holiday, dating back to the Celts almost 2,000 years ago.  It’s seen many changes through the years, but the most important thing is that we honor our ancestors and those who left us.  It’s often called the “Witches New Year” because of how it’s a time for rebirth, growth, and a fresh start.  It’s the end of the harvest season and the beginning of the coldest half of the year.  The barrier between the spirit world and our world is so thin, and it’s the perfect time to remember your loved ones during this time.

This will be a celebration of people and things that have come to pass, as well as creating a new beginning!
